How we can help.
Symptoms of Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can involve a burning pain in your chest and can damage the lining of your esophagus and can affect your larynx (voice box), trachea (windpipe), and possibly your lungs. There is a ring of muscle at the top of your stomach that keeps the end of your esophagus closed. When that muscle doesn’t work properly stomach contents / acid can flow backwards up into your esophagus. Long term GERD can cause changes in cells in the esophagus leading to the risk of cancer. Risk factors are weight gain, drinking alcohol or too much caffeine, smoking or pregnancy. Fortunately there are several FDA approved medications (zofran, reglan, protonix, dexilant & more) that we can prescribe for nausea, vomiting or symptom control of GERD. We can provide referrals to specialists in your area for further testing for severe cases of ongoing GERD.
How to get started.
Simply answer some basic health questions and click to sign our consent for telehealth all within our HIPAA compliant patient portal. During your scheduled visit we can determine if you need a new medication or provide you with a refill. We can order labs and tests as well for all Kansas residents.
How long is the visit?
Most visits are between 5 to 10 minutes based on complexity. Your online visit is kept efficient so you can save time and money instead of driving and waiting for an appointment. You will receive written education about your symptoms / diagnosis and a prescription or refill if appropriate. You can have the prescription sent to your local pharmacy within a matter of minutes or a few hours after your visit.
You don’t require insurance.
There are no hidden fees for our service. Each visit is $39 with an experienced provider. You will simply cover your medications or testing fees that we may order for you after the visit.
How we help through Telemedicine.
Telemedicine has been around since the 1980’s and has vastly improved since then. We are unable to perform a full physical exam, but we can treat you based on your history and symptoms, physical / visual presentation and overall condition. We are able to provide a diagnosis with a high degree of accuracy and provide follow up visits by secure messaging or further visits to ensure effectiveness of your treatment.
Can you refill or prescribe xanax, oxy, norco or other controlled drugs?
We are unable to refill or prescribe opiates, controlled substances, and anti-psychotics. Please contact us if you are unsure if the medication you need is controlled.
