Bacterial Vaginosis / Yeast Infections

How we can help.

“BV” is a common vaginal infection that occurs when bacteria becomes out of balance. Normally both “good and bad” bacteria are present. Good bacteria helps to keep up healthy function by overwhelming the opportunistic “bad” bacteria. However the good bacteria may be decreased and the flora (amount) of “bad” bacteria may increase. There may be discharge (thickened gray or white secretions from the vagina) with a “fishy” odor. If this is left untreated, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and can create more health problems for you. BV can be caused by having an STD (sexually transmitted disease) or several sex partners along with other potential causes. We can help to treat you by evaluating your symptoms for yeast infection (fungal) versus bacterial and prescribing you an effective solution. We may also recommend STD testing at your local pharmacy or lab to ensure proper treatment.

How long is the visit?

Most visits are between 5 to 10 minutes based on complexity. Your online visit is kept efficient so you can save time and money instead of driving and waiting for an appointment. You will receive written education about your symptoms / diagnosis and a prescription or refill if appropriate. You can have the prescription sent to your local pharmacy within a matter of minutes or a few hours after your visit.

You don’t require insurance.

There are no hidden fees for our service. Each visit is $39 with an experienced provider. You will simply cover your medications or testing fees that we may order for you after the visit.

How we help through Telemedicine.

Telemedicine has been around since the 1980’s and has vastly improved since then. We are unable to perform a full physical exam, but we can treat you based on your history and symptoms, physical / visual presentation and overall condition. We are able to provide a diagnosis with a high degree of accuracy and provide follow up visits by secure messaging or further visits to ensure effectiveness of your treatment.

Can you refill or prescribe xanax, oxy, norco or other controlled drugs?

We are unable to refill or prescribe opiates, controlled substances, and anti-psychotics. Please contact us if you are unsure if the medication you need is controlled.
